Glasslock Tempered Glass Storage Containers

We should not be storing any food that is warm or hot in plastics. They create foreign estrogens (xenoestrogens) which cause damage to both male and female endocrine systems as they are endocrine disruptors.
We love these Glass Lock containers because you can store liquid in them and they will never spill. They do have a plastic top, so don’t let warm food touch it, but the food sits in glass not plastic. Also the glass is solid as we’ve dropped it more than a couple of times and they did not break!

Thermal Cookers – Save Energy and Healthier Slow Cooked Food

I’ve been using the Nissan thermal cooker on the left for over 10 years. (Yes, the same one all that time!) It is a fabulous investment!! I love it for cooking grains: the basic recipe is to soak the grain (rice, quinoa, millet, oats) overnight and then cook them in the stainless steel sleeve the next morning. Just bring it to a boil and then stick it into the thermal cooker. Depending on the grain, you’ll have delicious, soft and nutritious (because of the lower cooking temperature) grains in 20 minutes to 2 hours.  The one on the right has multiple sized pots.
