Generally most sweet fruits

Cooked apples, applesauce, apricots, avocado, bananas, berries, cherries, coconut, fresh dates, fresh figs, grapefruit, grapes, kiwi, lemons, limes, mangoes, melons, oranges, papaya, peaches, pineapple, plums, soaked prunes and raisins, rhubarb, strawberries, tamarind.

Fruits to avoid

Raw apples, cranberries, dry dates and figs, pears, persimmons, pomergranates, dry raisins and prunes, watermelon


In general vegetables should be cooked

Asparagus, beets, cooked cabbage* only, carrots, cauliflower*, cilantro, cucumber, daikon radish*, fennel (anise), garlic, green beans, green chilies, Jerusalem artichoke, leafy greens*, leeks, lettuce*, mustard greens*, okra, black olives, cooked onions, parsley*, parsnips, cooked peas, sweet potatoes, pumpkin, rutabaga, spaghetti squash*, cooked spinach, sprouts, summer squash, taro root, turnip greens*, watercress, zucchini


Vegetables to avoid

Artichoke, beet greens, bitter melon, broccoli, brussel sprouts, burdock root, raw cabbage, raw cauliflower, celery, fresh corn, Dandelion leaves, eggplant, horseradish, kale, kohlrabi, mushrooms, green olives, raw onions, raw peas, peppers, white potatoes, prickly pear, radish, tomatoes, turnips, wheat grass sprouts, winter squash.


Amaranth*, Durham flour, cooked oats, pancakes, quinoa, rice, seitan, sprouted wheat, wheat if your not allergic to it


Grains to avoid

Barley, buckwheat, cold dry puffed cereals, corn, couscous, crackers, granola, millet, museli, oat bran, dry oats, pasta, polenta, rice cakes, rye, sago, spelt, tapioca, wheat bran


Red Lentils, Mung beans, mung dal, soy cheese, soy milk, soy sauce, soy sausages, tofu*, tur dal, urad dal


Legumes to avoid

Aduki beans, black beans, black-eyed peas, chick peas, kidney beans, brown lentils, lima beans, miso, navy beans, dried peas, pinto beans, soy beans, soy powder, split peas, tempeh, white beans



Most dairy is good

Butter, buttermilk, hard cheese*, soft cheese, cottage cheese, cow’s milk, ghee, goat’s milk and cheese, ice cream*, sour cream*, yogurt diluted and spiced*

Dairy to avoid

Powdered cow’s milk, powdered goat milk, plain or frozen yogurt


Animal foods

Beef, buffalo, dark chicken, white chicken*, duck, eggs, fish, salmon, sardines, shrimp, dark turkey

Animal food to avoid

Lamb, pork, rabbit, venison, white turkey



Black pepper, mango chutney, chili peppers*, coriander leaves*, dulse, gomasio, hijiki, kelp, ketchup, lemon, lime, lime pickle, mango pickle, Mayonnaise, Vegenaise, mustard, pickles, salt, scallions, seaweed, soy sauce, sprouts*, tamari, vinegar

Condiments to avoid

Chocolate, horseradish


All nuts are ok

Almonds, black walnuts, brazil nuts, cashews, charole, coconut, filberts, hazelnuts, macadamia nuts, peanuts, pecans, pine nuts, pistachios, walnuts


Chia, flax, hulva, pumpkin, sesame, sunflower, tahini


Seeds to avoid

Psyllium, popcorn


All oils a good both externally and internally with the exception of coconut and avocado, which can be used externally only.



Beer and white wine*, almond milk, aloe vera juice, apple cider, apricot juice, all berry except cranberry, carob*, carrot juice, chai, cherry juice, grain coffee, grape juice, grapefruit juice, lemonade, mango juice, miso broth, orange juice, papaya, peach nectar, pineapple, rice milk, sour juices, soy milk if spiced or hot, vegetable bouillon


Beverages to avoid

Hard red wines, apple juice, caffeinated beverages, carbonated drinks, chocolate milk, coffee, cold dairy drinks, cranberry, iced tea, icy cold drinks, pear juice, pomegranate juice, Prune juice, cold soy, tomatoe, V-8

Acceptable herbal teas

Ajwan, Bancha, Chamomile, Clove, Comfrey, Elder Flower, Eucalyptus, Fennel, Fenugreek, Ginger, Hawthorne, Juniper Berry, Lavender, Lemon Grass, Licorice, Marshmallow, Oat Straw, Orange peel, Pennyroyal, Peppermint, Rosehips, Saffron, sage, Sarsaparilla, Sassafras, Spearmint.

Herbal Teas To Avoid

Blackberry, Burdock, Cornsilk, Dandelion, Ginseng, Hibiscus, Yarrow, **Lemon Balm, **Hops, **Jasmine, **Nettle, **Passion Flower, **Red Clover.
